The short version
Everything you type into a Divorce Number calculator stays on your device. The math runs in your browser with JavaScript — your asset values, incomes, and other inputs are never transmitted to us or stored on any server. We don't ask for your name, email, or account.
What is and isn't collected
Calculator inputs: Not collected. They exist only in your browser tab and disappear when you close it.
Standard analytics & server logs: Like most websites, our host may record basic, non-identifying request data (such as pages viewed, approximate region, browser type) to keep the site running and understand overall traffic. This is not linked to anything you enter in a calculator.
Optional usage analytics
Google Analytics loads only after you choose “Allow analytics.” It measures page visits and broad actions such as starting a calculator and viewing a result. Our calculator events contain a fixed tool identifier, not names, financial amounts, selected states, other answers or result text. Page addresses sent by our tracking code omit query strings and fragments; referrers are limited to the referring website.
Google Analytics uses cookies and processes technical and approximate location information under Google’s privacy policy. We disable Google signals, advertising personalization signals and automatic enhanced measurement. Consent-based reports cover only visitors who opt in and whose browsers allow measurement, so they are not a complete visitor census.
Choose “No thanks” to use the site without this optional tracking. Reopen “Analytics choices” in the footer to change your preference. Withdrawing stops further measurement by our analytics code; it does not erase information already received by Google. Your local consent choice is stored in your browser. Advertising consent is handled separately.
Advertising & cookies
Divorce Number is supported by advertising, including Google AdSense. To show ads, third-party vendors — including Google — may use cookies and similar technologies. The site also uses affiliate links in some guides and sponsored listings on the Find an Attorney page — links and listings marked "affiliate" or "sponsored" may earn us a commission or fee at no extra cost to you.
